I am attending Utah State University to earn a bachelors degree in Elementary Education.  I only have three semesters left!!!!  I am getting really excited to become a teacher.  This semester I am enrolled in all the Level II classes for this degree.  One of my classes helps teach me to be informed about the technology tools that are available for teachers.  I am learning to create a blog for my future class.  While studying for this assignment I checked out the following blogs:

Mrs. Kathy Cassidy's class is doing some very interesting things in their class.  I got quite a few ideas from her blog.  Her class has been talking to children all around the world through SKYPE.  Kathy also takes pictures of projects she has the children do.  I saw how they are learning about sequencing patterns.  I like the way she takes suggestions from the children on which items to use in their patterns!  I was very impressed with the videos she made of each student telling what the best thing they had learned in her class was!

Mrs. Kelso's "Almighty Bloggers" are a group of 11-12 year old's.  There were many pictures of an activity she called, "Waterwise".  They students were actually by a lake, with canoes, and they were learning water safety!  Not the normal elementary school activity, I think!  Mrs. Kelso had taught her students how to blog and I saw examples of how that was done.  She also included a YouTube presentation that the students had watched in class on multiplication.  This is a great way to get information home to the parents who are wondering how to help their child in math!

This blog was very well organized!  First the instructor had her students set classroom goals and individual goals that were all put on the classroom blog.  On the right side were links set up in a hierarchical manner,t examples were Links for the Week, Goals, Science Lessons.  I was very impressed.  The blog had a name, "Review the Year".  It also included a copyright statement for the work the students posted!  Great blog!

I'll start with a short personal history. My name is Susan Helen Case Roberts. I was born on October 29, 1955 to Frances and Arzell Case. I was raised in Magna, Utah and had one older brother, James L. (now we call him Jim). I also had two younger brothers and a younger sister, Jeff, Ted, and Jeanette.

Ryan Glenn Roberts is actually a step-son. He was 4 1/2 years old when Glenn and I got married. He was born on August 7, 19something.

Kelley Sue Roberts was born on February 18, 1977 in Salt Lake City. She came 2 weeks early and weighed 5 lbs. 8 oz. and was as healthy as can be even though she was so tiny. I was in labor for 6 1/2 hours before Kelley was born.

Richard Todd Roberts was born on August 22, 1978. He also arrived a couple weeks early and weighed 6 lbs. 3 oz. I was only in labor for 2 hours and barely made it to the hospital in time to have him. We have always called him Rick instead of Richard.

Leah Marie Roberts was born on September 9, 1980. Leah also came to earth before her due date. She was my biggest baby, weighing 6 lbs. 7 oz. and the nurses told me that some of her tests showed that she was a premeeie. Because her older brother came so quickly my doctor had me come to the hospital the first time I felt a pain. They gave me pitocin and she arrived 6 1/2 later.
